T-Shirt Quilt BootCamp - 06/8
T-Shirt Quilt
This single day bootcamp is a fun day with Brian McCoy, The Redneck Quilter. Join him to make a T-shirt quilt to remember high school, concerts, sports, or a cherished loved one. This class does require you to be an experienced beginner quilter, with a working machine.
In this class you will learn: how to properly 'de-bone' a shirt, how to interface it properly with lightweight fusible interfacing, how to square up your shirts, and then how to put them together with sashing, cornerstones, and borders (optional). Bring your uncut shirts to class as we will cut them in class.
Class Supplies: Shirts: Lap = 9, 12, or 16 Shirts, Twin = 20 - 24 Shirts, Queen/King = 30, 36, or 42 Shirts, 1/2 yard of lightweight fusible interfacing per shirt (available for purchase in class), approx 2 1/2 yards for sashing, 1/3 yard for cornerstones, and any additional fabric(s) for borders (optional). Please bring: your machine, scissors, pins, cutting mat, rotary cutter, large square ruler (if you have one), seam ripper, thread, etc.
