T-Shirt Quilt Class
What a great way to honor the achievements, sports activities, youth, school and/or faith-based involvements, or even to celebrate and remember the life of a loved one, in the memories created by a special person in your life.
In this whole day class, Brian will teach you how to 'de-bone' your t-shirts. Then you'll learn how to apply a single sided lightweight fusible interfacing. And then how to properly trim and square your t-shirt blocks all to the same size.
With this very simple design/layout, you'll learn how to use about 2 1/2 yards of fabric for sashing to go in between your t-shirt quilt blocks and an additional 1/3 yard for cornerstones.
Suggested Supplies: @12-20+ t-shirts (not cut), 1/2 yard of fusible interfacing per shirt, 2 1/2 yards for sashing strips, 1/3 yard for cornerstones. IF you have a 16 1/2" and/or 20 1/2" square ruler, bring it with you! A limited number of large square rulers will be provided for use in class.
Brian will teach you how to put it all together in nice, neat rows and columns for a clean, crisp and structured layout. So your eyes can feast on the pics you wanted to be the main focus of your t-shirt quilt.
